Oliver Low

Principal Physiotherapist
Oliver is one of the principal Physiotherapists at Beachlands Physio, he is also a principal at Marina Physio having worked there since its opening. Oliver has a strong interest in manual therapy, acupuncture and sports Physiotherapy and has completed his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and acupuncture
Oliver has several years experience working with sports teams. He currently works and travels with New Zealand and Auckland hockey as well as Athletics New Zealand attending various international sporting events.
Oliver enjoys spending time with his family, playing and following several sports, and has a keen interest in food and music.

Derek Timmins
Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy), Registered Physiotherapy Acupuncturist, MPNZ
Principal Physiotherapist
Derek graduated from his physiotherapy degree at AUT University in 2000. Following his interests in acupuncture he completed a further two years of study to become a Registered Physiotherapy Acupuncturist and now serves as the President of the Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association of New Zealand. Derek is also a guest lecturer on the Post Graduate Certificate in Western Acupuncture at AUT University.
Derek has worked in Private practices in Hamilton, Sydney and for the last 12 years in East Auckland, where he is also a Principal Physiotherapist at Pakuranga Physiotherapy and Marina Physio. Derek uses his skills in mobilisation, manipulation, acupuncture and exercise prescription to help clients return to pre-injury health and improve function.
Derek is also certified with the Titleist Performance Institute as a Golf Fitness Instructor to help golfers reduce injury risk and improve their swing.
Outside of work, Derek enjoys watersports, spending time with his family and playing guitar and mandolin.

Jo cook
Jo graduated from Otago School of Physiotherapy in 1989. She has worked in private practices both within and outside NZ as well as owning her own private practice in Northland.
Jo began working for Pakuranga Physiotherapy in 2000 and is now one of the Principal Physiotherapists there. She is also one of the Principal Physiotherapists at our newly opened Beachlands Physio clinic.
With 20 + years of experience, Jo treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions with special interests in acupuncture, chronic pain and dance injuries. She is also a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist specialising in the treatment of incontinence and pelvic pain. She is a member of NZ Women’s, Men’s & Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Group, Women’s Health Training Associates (Australia) and Continence NZ.
Outside work hours Jo enjoys spending time with her family, travel, cooking and jogging.

Pania Wirihana
Pania has been an active & vibrant Beachlands community member for the last 15 years & arrives with over 10 years Administrative experience working within various Global Companies.
She loves customer Interaction & is committed to delivering great customer service with her warm hospitality & welcoming smile.
Pania enjoys music, travelling, walking her dog along the local beaches & spending time with family & friends.

Anelize Becker
Physiotherapist
Anelize is a New Zealand registered and South African qualified physiotherapist with more than 10 years experienced in orthopedic, musculoskeletal and respiratory physiotherapy. She loves being hands on with her patients and treating the cause rather than the symptoms.
In her free time she love to be active with her husband and 3 little boys.

Sharon Greacen
As a local resident of the Pohutukawa Coast community, Sharon has had over 20 years’ experience in the Medical Reception/Administration and private ACC field, with the past 12 of those years in Physiotherapy.
She brings with her strong communication and organisational skills along with a friendly smile and a passion for helping others. Sharon has a very approachable personality and looks forward to meeting you.
Outside of work Sharon is busy with family life, enjoys boating, travelling and gardening and is a supporter of Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand.

Carolyn Steele
Carolyn lives locally in Northpark, having previously lived in Bucklands Beach. She has been a patient of the Pakuranga clinic over many years and now enjoys being on the other side of the desk, providing efficient and friendly service to our patients.
Outside of work Carolyn enjoys all sport, playing tennis and supporting family in their sporting endeavors.
